Future undergraduate and Parcoursup
TOEIC® tests to assess your level of English on Parcoursup®.
Parcoursup® is the new national platform for pre-enrolment in the first year of higher education set up by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation as the successor to the former Post-Bac Admission System (APB).
Who is this platform for?
The Parcoursup® platform is intended for all high school students, apprentices, students looking for an orientation who wish to enrol in the first year of higher education: bachelor's degrees, BTS, IUT, engineering schools, etc. The platform first allows you to create a pre-enrolment file, find information on the different courses, enter your wishes without filing them (unlike APB) and complete your file with the elements requested by the chosen courses.
You can then confirm your wishes, receive proposals for admission to the courses and respond to them. 14,500 courses have been registered and selected via the Parcoursup® platform. Each student can make up to 10 wishes and 20 sub-wishes, without having to prioritise them.
How do you put all the opportunities on your side?
Many courses require an independent level of English, i.e. level B of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL). Expectations such as "having a very good level in at least one foreign language (level B)" have been defined for example to enter certain university courses. Good command of English, therefore, becomes an asset in order to make the most of your application file and to enter the desired courses of study.
The TOEIC tests are the world's leading certification for higher education and are used in France by many engineering and business schools, universities, IUTs and specialised schools. With scores correlated to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL), displaying your TOEIC® test score will help you to highlight your level of English in your application files on Parcoursup®.
