The TOEFL Primary® and TOEFL Junior® English Learning Centers are interactive online learning activities designed to help young students reach their full potential in English-language proficiency. The interactive and engaging activities provided by this online tool focus on building reading, listening and speaking skills, and accelerating language acquisition using visual and audio prompts and cues. In addition, the tool supports communicative language teaching and learning with activities based in real-world situations.

We provide two versions of this interactive online learning tool: The TOEFL Primary® English Learning Center and the TOEFL Junior® English Learning Center.
Designed for student ages 8+, the TOEFL Primary English Learning Center is appropriate for a range of English proficiency levels. Guided by their teachers, each student moves at their own pace through the online exercises. Automated feedback for Listening and Reading activities indicates areas of strength and areas for improvement. Teachers monitor student progress, providing feedback for students’ Speaking responses and practice questions through the Teacher Management System.
Featuring eight theme-based units with 20 hours of learning material, the TOEFL Primary® English Learning Center covers learning objectives common to a range of curricula worldwide.
With this tool, students will:
- Practice English with a range of materials that include both everyday and academic English
- Enjoy interactive lessons based on real-world situations
- Take responsibility for the learning process through guided independent study
- Become familiar with the types of questions asked on TOEFL Primary tests
Teachers assign activities to students ages 11+, who then complete the assigned activities to improve their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills, with each student moving at his or her own pace through the online exercises. Teachers monitor students’ progress and provide feedback through the Teacher Management System. The programme ends with a practice test, allowing students to become familiar with TOEFL Junior tests and helping them identify areas of strength and improvement.
With this tool, students can:

The Teacher Management System provides teachers with the tools they need to accelerate student progress. It features an easy-to-use communication centre from which students can receive teacher feedback. Using the system, teachers can:
