Institutos Nebrija signs a collaboration agreement with TOEFL® to strengthen English language learning
ETS announces a new partnership to provide access to high quality English language assessments for students at Institutos Nebrija.
Madrid, November 27th 2024 - ETS, a global provider of innovative language training and assessment solutions such as the TOEFL®, TOEIC® and GRE® tests, has formalized an agreement with Institutos Nebrija, which promotes the teaching of Spanish language and culture around the world. This collaboration will allow the institution's students to access resources and certifications that will enhance their command of English as well as improve their competitiveness in the international academic and professional environment.
This agreement, active from November 2024, aims to facilitate access to TOEFL certification for Nebrija Institute students. The TOEFL iBT® Test is the leading academic English language test for studying, working and living around the world. Accepted by more than 13,000 universities and institutions in over 160 countries, TOEFL iBT is recognized by 100% of universities in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, as well as throughout Europe and Asia. It also takes less than 2 hours to complete, making it the shortest of the 3 major English language tests. For more information, see the official TOEFL website.
Among the advantages of the agreement are:
- Exclusive discounts on TOEFL exams: Nebrija Institute students will enjoy preferential rates for taking the exam, making international certification more accessible.
- Access to preparation resources: The agreement includes the implementation of digital resources and preparation courses designed by ETS, the entity responsible for the TOEFL English test, in order to maximize student performance.
- Teacher training: English teachers at Institutos Nebrija will receive specialized training on the format and content of the TOEFL test to better support students in their preparation.
Pilar Alcover Santos, Director of Institutos Nebrija, and Melisa Teves, Director of the Nebrija Institute of Modern Languages, were present at the signing ceremony where the terms of collaboration were established. Pilar Alcover highlighted the importance of this agreement: “English proficiency is essential for students who want to excel in an increasingly globalized world. This collaboration with TOEFL opens up new opportunities for our students and allows them to have access to a globally recognized certification that will strengthen their academic and professional profile.”
Jesús González, Client Relations Manager for ETS in Spain and Portugal, said, “We are very excited to partner with Institutos Nebrija to support students in their academic English development. The TOEFL exam is an indispensable tool for those looking to broaden their educational and professional horizons, and this agreement will allow students to access all the benefits TOEFL has to offer.”
This agreement represents an important step for Institutos Nebrija in its commitment to internationalization and strengthening the comprehensive training of its students.
